Peer Review Support Volunteer
Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust Volunteers provide essential support to all Trust services, both clinical and non-clinical in multiple roles, focusing on Prevention, Recovery and Wellbeing. The Trust recognises and values the unique contribution volunteers make towards improving the patient experience and complementing the services provided by the Trust.
The Trust’s Peer Review Programme aims to improve care for the people we serve by:
• Ensuring our services are as safe as possible • Improving the quality and effectiveness of care • Improving the patient and carer experience • Providing development and learning for all involved • Encourage the dissemination of good practice.
The Peer Review Support Volunteer would be working alongside members of staff to assist in the review process. The areas for review are decided by each Division within the Trust and are on a 6-month cycle (March to September). The Trust use a blended approach for discussing reviews, online and in-person. The Peer Review Process is a way to highlight the positive work in each department, as well as pick up any areas for improvements.
TRAINING AND DBS CHECKS
• All Volunteers must undertake the standard Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust Volunteer training prior to volunteering
• All Volunteers must have DBS checks prior to volunteering

YOUR COMMITMENT
Your commitment to this role will be discussed on an individual basis. Any time that can be given will be greatly appreciated. We ask volunteers to give us as much warning as possible if they cannot attend once they have signed up to help. Volunteers may be asked to be available for a period of time within the 6-month cycle of March to September.
